How does Mentoring work?

Mentoring takes place over a year, on Skype, by phone, email and face to face in the combination that works best for you. We establish your goals, pin down the outcomes you’re looking for and work back from there.

I work with clients in the UK and Internationally.

We talk! I work closely with a handful of clients each year, first taking the time to get to know you, your business and your requirements. Let’s have a chat about your main reasons for Mentoring.

It could be conflict resolution, being a more persuasive and visible leader, improving relationships across the board, having a stronger presence on the world or industry stage, creating a more open, creative and unified corporate culture, getting better at giving presentations, preparing for your next role/career development, more effective peer to peer networking….

Do I need to have any previous experience?

Not at all. Come to Mentoring with an open mind, committed to growth and be slightly flexible on your outcomes.

Other than that, if you’ve heard of or practice Meditation or Mindfulness, you may find it quicker to reach the deeper levels of listening you’ll learn.

Most people find it really easy – and sometimes having no past experience is an advantage.

What if it doesn't work for me?

I have taught these practices to over 11,500 clients and every one of them has been able to pick up the skills very easily, many of them still using them everyday after 19 years.

The skills you’ll learn are simple – basically you’re just accessing what you already do unconsciously, and leveraging that to improve your relationships and the way you communicate and connect.

At the same time, removing the barrier to deeper levels of communication will show you more of the person you really are.

The skills you’ll learn are absolutely priceless. Not just in terms of short-cutting a lifetime of learning but because you’ll be able to use them outside of work to bring you closer to friends and family and pass on to your children.

Does anyone else do this?

No. No one, to the best of my knowledge, has the kind of business background I do, combined with a very straightforward and practical approach. I have 30 years’ experience of guiding people through the process of opening up safely to deeper levels of communication – it’s what I specialise in.

Furthermore, the system I use is my own. It’s been extensively tested, developed and proven to work on anyone. It will adjust to the level you’re at and grow with you for the rest of your life.

Is it Spiritual?

Honestly, no. Though at times you may feel overcome by a feeling of connecting with a much bigger than you have before. Many of my clients say it’s like putting on a new pair of glasses, or the difference between watching a film in 2D and 3D.

But really, these are just communication skills and this is all about staying practical, grounded and using your new skills every day to solve real-life problems.

That’s not to say the experiences you have won’t be life-changing. They will. You will be profoundly moved and like many of my clients, will talk about our work being amongst the most defining moments of your life.

I work with each person at the level that they are at. And I have yet to find anyone that works to the depth that I do. So I’m fairly sure I can help.

Why do you only work with CEO's?

Today’s smart Leaders want to gain an ethical edge. They want to make their mark, leave a lasting legacy and steer their ship towards even greater prosperity.

My aim is to connect with CEO’s of medium to large organisations who are committed to making a difference, and who realise that the old paradigm of doing business – a dog-eat-dog world – is out dated.

If these skills filter down from the top, each employee gradually benefits from better relationships, increased confidence, creativity and inspiration whilst the CEO has the skills embedded at a very deep level, always slightly ahead but nurturing the next generation to improve on what has gone before.

Who taught you?

I am self-taught. Practice has been the greatest teacher, both in my everyday life, and with clients. And reading/actioning material in books.

Do you take on Associates?

I will be. And in time, I will be licensing out my system. Thanks for your enquiry though. I’d love to have a chat to you about this sometime.

Do you recommend reading?

Yes, as long as it doesn’t just stay a wonderful theory!

The books that made the biggest imact on me were Jane Roberts, especially the Oversoul books (mind expanding) and Nature of Personal Reality (belief-collapsing!). They came out in 1963, the year I was born, but have timeless appeal. Personal Reality changed my life.

I’m currently reading Social Intelligence by Daniel Goleman, and am captivated by Empathic Civilisation, Jeremy Rifkin. There is a brilliant short video that explains his book – well worth watching.
